Athletic Update: Our Student Athletes are Doing Exciting Things this Season

Our student athletes are doing exciting things both on and off the field this season. However, our Wolves need your continued support this fall as they continue to strive for success. There are still opportunities to help make this fall the best athletic season yet! Keep reading for our recap and opportunities to get involved.

Mark your calendars

The PAC will hold their next meeting on October 11th at 6:00 p.m. in room 204.  All are welcome to come help us organize fundraising efforts for this sports season.

The Boalsburg Turkey Trot is coming soon!

Registration for the 2018 Turkey Trot is now open! Please be sure to check out the event website to register online. Spread the word!

PAC-Athletic Support Opportunities

Boys Soccer

The boys had this week off from competition and have used the time to work on team and individual goals for the rest of the fall. They are back in action next week on Thursday vs. Jersey Shore at 4:30 p.m.

Girls Soccer

Last week, the girls defeated York Country Day School (4-1) for the first win in program history!

Goals were scored by Clare Marsh and Megan Bolich. Assists were made by by Mallory McCauley, Maggie Mangene and Riley Marflak. Cheer the girls on tomorrow, Thursday, September 27th as they take on  Bishop Carroll at 4:30 p.m.


On Sunday, the boys took second in the Wheeling Invitational, only losing to Kiski Prep by 4 strokes. Jack Mangene was tied for third, Matt Steyers was tied for tenth and RJ Marsh and Ryan Peachey were tied for twelfth. Congratulations to the boys for a great showing. On Monday, the boys were home for a match play event against Altoona. They tied the match in their first ever match play event.

The boys will start their postseason play this Thursday at Summit Country Club. Jack Mangene, Matt Steyers, Ryan Peachey, RJ Marsh and Jason Thomas will all be competing. Good luck, boys!

Girls Volleyball

This past Monday, both JV and Varsity dropped hard fought games to Juniata Valley.  And, on Tuesday, the girls fell to Central Mountain, despite bringing the heat on offense.  The girls are back in action tonight (Wednesday) against Grier School at 5pm for their 3rd game in three days.  Come out and show your support, the team would really appreciate it!

Cross Country

Over the weekend, both cross country teams ran at the PIAA Foundation Invitational.  Sera Mazza came in first in the girls’ A race and Carter Kauffman placed fifth in the boys’ A race.  They are back in action this weekend at the Carlisle Invitational. The boys will run at 11:30 a.m., followed by the girls at noon.
