Local Business Support Provides Need-Based Financial Aid

 by STJ_Admin

Dean of Students Malissa Martin recently attended a check presentation at St. John the Evangelist Catholic School in Bellefonte from the Bridge Educational Foundation. Saint Joseph’s Catholic Academy families, along with families at our grade schools, receive scholarships through this organization, which are made possible through Pennsylvania’s Educational Improvement Tax Credit (EITC) Program. We are grateful to the businesses that participate in this program through Bridge Foundation, such as Waste Management and Braskem, and to Representative Kerry Benninghoff and Senate Majority Leader Jake Corman for their continued support of EITC and local Catholic education.

Mrs. Martin is pictured with representatives from St. John School, Our Lady of Victory Catholic School, Bridge Foundation, participating businesses, Senator Corman and Representative Benninghoff.

The EITC program is open to qualifying businesses and individuals in Pennsylvania, and helps provide need-based financial aid to families seeking a faith-based education. To find out if you qualify to donate your tax dollars through EITC, contact Ms. Martin for more information.
