Joseph’s Fund, our annual fund, is a cornerstone that allows us to invest in resources and provide opportunities for our students to excel. Your annual contribution has the power to impact our students and our remarkable faculty in a meaningful way no matter the size of your gift.
Your annual support demonstrates your confidence in our mission.
Your annual fund gift directly reaches students every day with items like classroom materials, technology, and science lab equipment.
You also ensure that our students are taught by the highest quality educators, and that tuition remains affordable.
Join the Honor Roll of Donors in one of these categories by making an annual gift today.
Leadership giving grows opportunities for all students. Our founding years have been marked by incredible achievement and growth, more of which is expected as Saint Joe’s continues to grow its reputation as an exceptional college preparatory high school and faith community. Major facilities projects like the Rob and Alice Thomas Family Student Life Center, which create opportunities that are essential to the student experience, are funded by your leadership gifts. Leadership gifts can be pledged and paid over time.
Short-term projects that present opportunities for leadership giving include the addition of new classroom space to support growing enrollment, and upgrades to the building’s windows and roof. Your support as a leadership donor affirms your passion for the availability of a Catholic high school education to students and families in State College and surrounding areas.
We thank leading donors like Joe and Sue Rogacs, whose family fund provides an annual matching challenge, Rob and Deb Shearer, and Rob and Alice Thomas, and their families, who continue to give generously to sustain our growth.
If you are interested in learning more about how you can support Saint Joe’s with a leadership gift, contact Malissa Martin, Head of School, at email@example.com.
No student should miss out on the unique benefits of a Catholic education for his or her family’s inability to afford tuition. Named Scholarships offer you an opportunity to establish a scholarship in your name, in memory or honor of a loved one, or in the name of a family or business for the purpose of supporting need-based financial aid.
To establish a Named Scholarship, donors must commit a minimum of $500 annually for a three-year cycle (or $1,500 total over three years). Larger gifts are welcome. Named Scholarships provide financial aid to current students in the amounts of $500, $750, and $1,000 per year.
Donors may make special requests on student qualifications such as parish affiliation, excellence in academic area, community service, or extracurricular activities (excluding athletics). The donor may not request a gift be awarded to a family member or a specific student due to government guidelines regarding charitable gifts.
Through Pennsylvania’s Educational Improvement Tax Credit (EITC), an individual or business can redirect its state tax liability by donating to an eligible scholarship organization, including Saint Joseph’s. These funds are directed to students and families for need-based financial aid.
By combining these tax credits with federal deductions for charitable gifts, the scholarship donation is virtually cost-free to individuals and businesses.
Individuals may join the program through a Special Purpose Entity and must meet the following criteria:
Individual “Accredited Investors” with PA personal income tax liability of $3,500+ annually employed by a for-profit business entity.*
*Pass through businesses such as partnerships and businesses with PA Corporate Net Tax Liability are also eligible to join a Special Purpose Entity.
Tax credits are available on a first-come, first served basis, and for business participation require a simple application to be submitted on a specific timeline. To learn more contact Ellen Konkle at (814) 571-0576.
