Mrs. Martin received her Bachelor of Science Degree in Biology from The Pennsylvania State University with minors in Business and Liberal Arts. She received her secondary teaching certificate and a Masters of Educational Leadership Degree from Saint Francis University. She is certified to teach Biology, General Science, Health, and Family Consumer Science. She has her K-12 Principal Certification as well.
Mrs. Martin was chosen to receive Saint Francis University’s Outstanding Graduate Education Award. She is a member of Delta Epsilon Sigma, National Honor Society.
She taught Biology and Health for Saint Joseph’s for three years. She has worked with the State College Area School District as a teacher and as their Tutoring Center Supervisor in the past and was also the PSSA Coordinator/Instructor and At-Risk Coordinator for Central Cambria High School.
In the past, Mrs. Martin has served as an instructor for Penn State University in their summer science camps and has experience with Project 720 – Increasing Course Rigor grant work in Advanced Placement Biology. She was the Varsity Boys and Girls Assistant Track Coach while at Central Cambria High School.
Mrs. Martin is currently the Dean of Students and Educational Technology Coordinator for Saint Joseph’s Catholic Academy. She lives in State College with her husband and two children. They love Penn State, all Pittsburgh sports, and traveling.
