Dr. Masullo has the following degrees: B.S. in Spanish, B.S. in Business, M.Ed. in Counselor Education, and Ph.D. in Curriculum & Instruction from The Pennsylvania State University. Dr. Masullo is certified to teach world languages, business education, and music in the State of Pennsylvania, in addition to certifications as a Principal and Superintendent. Prior to coming to St. Joseph’s, Dr. Masullo worked in public education as a teacher, counselor, and school administrator. Dr. Masullo was named Outstanding Superintendent in the State of Pennsylvania by the Pennsylvania Music Educators’ Association in 2010.
After retiring from public education, Dr. Masullo taught Spanish, French, and Choir at St. Joseph’s in its inaugural school year. Other experience includes: Adjunct Assistant Professor of Spanish at St. Francis University and English, Spanish, and Office Technology Instructor at South Hills School of Business & Technology. Dr. Masullo developed an online Spanish course for St. Francis University and currently teaches the online course for St. Francis. In addition, Dr. Masullo teaches Conversational Spanish for the Healthcare Professions at South Hills.
His travels include: Italy, Spain, France, and Greece. Dr. Masullo serves as the pianist for the Hispanic Catholic Ministry at Penn State University. He is very happy to have returned to work with the students, faculty, and staff at St. Joseph’s Catholic Academy.
