In order to meet the state requirements, all volunteers at Saint Joe’s must complete and submit clearances and the Arrest Conviction Report Form. Questions should be directed to the Saint Joe’s Business Manager.
To obtain compliance with PA law, please follow the steps below:
In order to volunteer at SJCA, you must contact the school Business Office to verify the capacity in which you will be volunteering at the school.
Step 1: Youth Protection Awareness Training with Virtus
Step 2: Clearances
Step 3: Only needs to be completed if you have not been a PA Resident for the last 10 years

Step 4: ACT 126 Training online at www.reportabusepa.pitt.edu
Step 5: ACT 24 Arrest Conviction Report Form (Act 24).
Important Notes:
- Current faculty, staff, and volunteers who have completed either the online Youth Protection course or the prior Protecting God’s Children program do not need to re-take the online youth protection course.
- Please allow 8 weeks for documents to be processed by the Saint Joe’s and Diocesan Youth Protection Coordinators.
- Clearances are valid for 3 years, from date of issue.
