Community Service

Serving Others

Service is the fourth of the Saint Joseph's Catholic Academy pillars. The Saint Joseph's Christian Service Program helps students become aware of responsibility to reach out to those in need in our parishes, local communities, and beyond.

Over their four years, Saint Joseph's students are required to complete at least 75 hours of service to their church, community, and/or school. Specifically, they must complete at least 20 hours of service to their church and at least 55 hours for their community and the school.

All hours must be logged, verified, and approved using the x2VOL platform. Click the orange button to navigate to the x2VOL platform.

Looking for Opportunities for Christian Service?
Throughout the year, many opportunities arise for Saint Joseph's students to serve their school and community. Information about many is disseminated via email and announced at student assemblies.  Further, many Saint Joseph's student clubs and teams engage in service activities as a student group.

The full requirements of the Christian Service Program are found on the Theology & Campus Ministry department website, and in every Theology class's Google Classroom. They are also available in the school office on request. For more information about the Community Service requirement contact the school office at sjca@sjcacademy.org or (814) 808-6118.
